I was trying to figure out what I liked about this picture, and if I should even submit it or not.

But I told Sasha when I was taking it that it was just so simple looking, and that I felt it said something about life in general and that it was a good metaphor, and I probably went off on some emo shit she didn't want to hear.

But I like it, and it makes me sad to look at, which is an awesome feeling, one which I would love to share with the rest of you.

Its amazing how this picture portrays numerous emotions, like: solarity, hopelessness and strandedness. Even though it is only a picture of high-heels surrounded by a sea of water. I believe you are right when you say it portrays a good metaphor of life: "Never move and you might find yourself alone without a way out."
